I've still got a couple of posts that have been brewing for a couple of days now, one following on from this post about not losing sight of the threat to education, and one triggered by this post on bullying by Danae at Three Degrees of Freedom.
My thinking around the review and the recommendations is further complicated by the fact that some of the most entrenched and authoritarian opinions of the people who would change how we live, for no other reason than that they believe it to be for our own good, is also reflected in our family situation at the moment. I know that others are experiencing or have experienced similar - you have my sympathy!
And so I need to let my thoughts solidify for a day or two, especially whilst other bloggers and commenters are writing so articulately and helping this process along at a fantastic rate of knots. At the same time, none of us should overlook time away from the frenetic activity to enjoy our families.
In the meantime, here are a few links that have pleased me greatly in the last day or two. At the very least, there's light relief to be found amongst the serious stuff!
